• Selects the OSSA Teacher of the Year;
  • Honors small school districts with an Award of Excellence for their outstanding progress in improving the education of students;
  • Sponsors the annual Small Schools Breakfast at the Oregon School Boards Association Fall Convention in Portland;
  • Publishes three issues of SMALL TALK, a newsletter containing news items, activities, ideas and successful practices of interest to educators;
  • Works with COSA, NWREL and OSBA to support and promote small schools;
  • Works cooperatively with COSA and OSBA to sponsor the Small Schools Summit;
  • Maintains a web site listing staff development opportunities and vacancies in small schools; and
  • Provides pertinent information to school districts regarding Legislative changes, TSPC proposed rule changes and ODE proposed administrative rule changes

2019-20 Scholarship Application OPEN NOW

The 2019-20 OSSA Student Scholarship application is now available. The $1,000 scholarships are for students of OSSA member districts. Two scholarships each will be awarded in 1A, 2A and 3A districts.
